Ladies Lane is a purpose built 5 bedded home in Hindley, Wigan. The home provides high quality respite in the form of short term breaks to children and young people with severe learning difficulties and/or complex needs. Young people can come for an overnight stay or for a maximum of four nights. This is after a full assessment of needs has been undertaken by a social worker, to determine if Ladies Lane can fulfill the needs. Positive working relationships with colleagues from other agencies enable staff to maintain current and up to date knowledge of individual young people.
Out side they have a large and well maintained garden, young people can relax and play in safety. The home has a variety of equipment, including sensory lights, art and craft, Nintendo wii, a wide choice of music and access to a computer.
During term time young people are escorted from and to school via our transport. Weekends and school holidays, parents need to bring and collect the young person. Our admission time is 1.30pm - 2.00pm and discharge time is 10.30am - 11.00am, the following day.
